Q. What are the height requirements at Blue Bayou?
A. BLUE BAYOU HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS
  • Conja - Must be at least 36" to ride with an adult, 48" to ride without an adult. 2-5 Passengers.
  • Racer - Must be at least 48" to ride.
  • Plunge - Must be at least 48" to ride. No lifejackets allowed.
  • Azuka - Must be at least 48" to ride. 2-4 Passengers.
  • Twosome - Must be at least 36" to ride, 48" to ride without an adult. Must be 2 passengers, no more, no less.
  • Mad Moccasin- Must be at least 48" to ride.
  • Polywogs and Pirates - Reserved for guests under 48" inches.
  • Serpentine - Must be at least 36" to ride. Under 48" must ride with a lifejacket.
  • Flying Pirogues - Must be at least 48" to ride.
  • Voodoo - Must be at least 48" to ride.
  • Pirates Cove - Must be under 48" tall to play. Adults over 48" tall are allowed when supervising guests under 48" tall.

A. DIXIE LANDIN' HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS
  • Fouchon Flyer - Must be at least 36" to ride, guest under 48" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Tilt A Whirl - Must be at least 36" to ride, guests under 46" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Train - 36" and under must be accompanied by an adult
  • Pirate Ship - Must be at least 36" to ride, guests under 48" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Black Widow - Must be at least 36" to ride, guests under 48" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Galaxy - Must be at least 36" to ride, guests under 42" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Giant Wheel - Must be at least 36" to ride, guests under 48" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Splinter - Must be 36" to ride, guests under 42" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Rainbow - Must be at least 48".
  • Jambalaya - Must be at least 36" to ride, guests under 48" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Cajun Collision - Must be at least 42" to ride, guests under 48" must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Yo-Yo - Must be at least 42" tall.
  • Zydeco Express - Must be 42" to ride.
  • Extreme - Must be at least 48" tall.
  • Flying Tigers - Must be 48" to ride.
  • Rajin Cajun - Must be at least 48" tall.
  • Hot Shot - Must be at least 52" tall.
  • Sidewinder - Must be at least 52" tall.
  • Gasoline Alley - Guests 58" and under all allowed to drive.
  • Fun Fair - 58" maximum height.
  • Grand Carousel - 48" and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Loco Loco - Must be at least 33. tall to ride, guests under 36. must be accompanied by an adult
Q. How can I attend a concert at Dixie Landin'?
A. General admission to our concerts is included in your daily admission or Season Pass.
Q. Do I have to reserve a seat for the concerts?
A. No, however, that is an option. The general admission area to our concerts is a large concert green. You may stand or bring your own lawn chair, beach towel, or blanket. If you would like to purchase a reserved seat, which is an actual seat and is located closer to the stage, then you may call our office the Monday morning before each concert, beginning at 8:00 A.M. and reserve your seat(s) with a credit card. You may also come to our business office beginning at 8:00 A.M. and purchase your seats in person.
Q. What if I need a hotel or lodging for a night?
A. We recommend the Baton Rouge Courtyard by Marriott at 225.293.7200 or the Marriott's Residence Inn at 225.293-8700.
Q. I have small children do I need to bring a stroller into the park?
A. That is your option. Dixie Landin' has wagons that are available for rent that small children can ride in while in both parks.
Q. I have small children and would like them to wear life vests. Do you have them available?
A. Yes! Life Vests are provided at no charge.
Q. What about changing facilities?
A. We have all-day lockers available for rent, as well as showers & changing areas.
Q. Can I bring my own lunch into the park?
A. No, we do not allow food and beverage to be brought into the park. However, as long as your hand is stamped for re-entry to the park, you may leave the park and return at a later time in the day.
Q. If I do not plan on swimming; only watching others in my group, do I have to pay to enter?
A. Yes, everyone who enters the park must pay the admission price.
Q. Can we use the paging system to call our group to a meeting point within the park?
A. No! We reserve our paging system for medical emergencies only, so we recommend you designate a meeting time and place for your group.
Q. Do you charge a rental fee on your tubes?
A. Tubes are provided at no charge for the rides that require them. Rental tubes are available for $5 with a $2 refund at the end of the day.
Q. What about parking?
A. Parking in Blue Bayou/Dixie Landin's lot is $5.00 per vehicle, per day. For the safety of our guests no pedestrians are allowed on our driveways.
Q. Do you have any suggestions for clothing?
A. We do suggest that you wear comfortable shoes or sandals while in the park, aqua shoes are acceptable in the water park. Blue Bayou requires that proper swimming attire be worn while playing in the park.
Q. What if it rains while I'm in the park?
A. Our severe weather policy is posted at all entrances to the park. All admission sales are final. Blue Bayou & Dixie Landin' do not close for rain, but will temporarily close when lightning or other inclement weather is in the immediate area.
Q. Where is the best place to park?
A. Parking for both Dixielandin' and Blue Bayou is only in the lot at Highland and I-10 (west lot). Only handicap parking is in East lot (the old Blue Bayou parking lot).
Q. When is the best time to come, to avoid the crowds?
A. Everyday is a busy day however, we experience our slowest days on Monday through Wednesday.
Q. What should guests with disabilities do?
A. They may obtain information from guest relations.
Q. What should be worn to protect your skin from the sun?
A. To protect your skin from the sun where sunscreen, hats, and light shirts. Check our gift shops if you forget to bring some.
Q. What should be done to secure your sunglasses or glasses?
A. Secure your glasses with a neck strap [available at gift shops]. They may come off on some rides. You may want to leave your most expensive sunglasses at home!
